basketball

Chance just finished his last game of the basketball season.  This was his first year playing, and Shawn was his coach.  After one particularly rough game, Shawn came home exasperated and declared, "I have a bunch of Jedi's on my team!"  He also stated that he knew he could have never been that bad at basketball.  However, toward the end of the season, the kids really improved.  I don't know if it was because Chance's grandma came to his last game or what, but Chance hit so many shots during his last game that we couldn't even keep track!  Shawn told Chance to make sure to check around and see who was open and pass them the ball.  Chance replied, "But Dad, the basket's always open!"  It reminded me of Shawn's old motto when he played high school basketball:  "Dribble 'till you're open."  Like father, like son!  But I am very proud of both of them.

Jedi is a good word in our house. LOL! Chance is becoming quite the little athlete.
